LOS ANGELES, November 17, 2014 -- HitFix (www.hitfix.com), the fastest-growing entertainment news brand in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Richard Rushfield as Editor-in-Chief, effective immediately.

Rushfield steps in for Gregory Ellwood, co-founder and board director, who will transition to Editor Emeritus continuing to cover prestige films, festivals, and general movie coverage as well as consult for the site.

"I'm thrilled that Richard is joining the HitFix Executive Team. "Richard has been an incredible advisor to both HitFix and myself over the years," Ellwood says. "I’m excited that he's bringing his talents to our team and I can't think of anyone better to take the company's editorial voice to the next level. It goes without saying that HitFix will be in very good hands under Richard’s watch."
