The Girls on Film are #NotOkay Part Three

The Girls on Film are #NotOkay Part Three

In this third and final installment of the Girls On Film #NotOkay series, we brought together some of the online entertainment industry's notable female personalities to weigh in on their experiences as adults with workplace harassment and assault.

In each of these videos, the Girls On Film focused on a different portion of life (childhood, adolescence and adulthood) to illustrate the point that experiences of sexual bullying, harassment, assault and abuse begin at a young age and continue throughout our lives.

The Girls On Film are extremely grateful to the contributors who made this series possible: Audrey Cleo, Amirose Eisenbach, Dani Fernandez, Julie Harkness Arnold, Sasha Perl Raver, Danielle Radford, and Clarke Wolfe. Your bravery and forthrightness are an inspiration to us all. Please share these videos and keep the #NotOkay conversation going!

The Girls on Film are #NotOkay Part Two

The Girls on Film are #NotOkay Part Two

Roth Cornet, Miri Jedeikin and Alicia Malone of HitFix series Girls On Film spoke with some of the online entertainment industry's notable female personalities in light of the #NotOkay movement.

Due to the sheer amount of experiences these women shared, the Girls On Film decided to break the videos up into 3 parts. The first part of the series, focusing on childhood stories, was released last week and the response continues to be tremendous and inspiring. This is the second part of the series, and it explores our contributors' experiences as teens and young adults.

The goal in making these videos was and is to de-stigmatize the act of women coming forward and sharing their stories, as well as contribute their voices and platform to the #NotOkay movement.

'Midnight Special' director is back with 'Loving' and it's a must-see

'Midnight Special' director is back with 'Loving' and it's a must-see

Fans!

Ever since seeing Take Shelter back in 2011, I've been continually blown away by Jeff Nichols. For my money, he's the best director working right this very moment.

Earlier this year I was blown away by Midnight Special and it continues to be at the top of my favorite films of 2016.

I can't exactly pin-point why his films strike such a chord with me. I often hear people talk about the big concepts that he tackles with a small, intimate approach. I always come back to family, his incredible eye for detail and his awesome work with Michael Shannon.

Miri had a chance to chat with him earlier last week about his latest offering, Loving, which I know you'll all love as much as we did.

He touches on the development process, casting and what gives his movies the "Nichols" touch.

Sit back and soak this one in.

P.S.

If you need more Jeff Nichols (and believe me, you do) watch this interview Drew McWeeny did with him about Midnight Special.

But wait, there's more!

The Girls on Film are #NotOkay

The Girls on Film are #NotOkay

In the wake of the Trump Tapes and the #NotOkay movement, Miri Jedeikin, Alicia Malone and Roth Cornet of Girls On Film brought together some of their esteemed female colleagues to share their stories on camera.

The sheer number of experiences each woman had been through made it impossible to produce just one video, so the Girls On Film decided to make a series instead, containing three segments. Each video covers a specific period of life: childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

This video is the first in the series, and explores some of our contributors' earliest and most disturbing memories of harassment, assault and abuse. We believe the #NotOkay movement should be more than a fad.

We believe that change starts with conversation, and that this conversation has only just begun.
